In order for security service to be effective, security personal should be properly trained on their basic duties and responsibility and should be able to response to all emergencies and situations firmly and effectively.

At Defence Security all our guards are given Standard Training and Site Specified Training.

All recruits complete a four day off site Security induction course. Security Officer will undergo specific training. Tailored to the needs of the contract and client’s Assignment Instruction, training covers areas such as:

• Duties and responsibilities of a Security Officer

• Patrolling

• Appearance, attitude and conduct

• Security and emergency system

• Fire awareness and dealing with emergencies

• Health and safety at work

• The law, crime scene preservation and evidence

• Communication skills and reporting

• Equal opportunities, discrimination (racial, sexual, disability, harassments)

• Resolving conflict

• Use of portable firefighting equipment

• Basic report writing and verbal communication

• Procedures to be used to notify the police of criminal activity or emergency

• Control Room Operations

• Specialist Training such as First Aid, Fire, Lift and Plant Training

• Promotion of Security Guards

• CPR

• Physical Disruptive Behavior
